The Nebraska-Iowa Kiwanis District Foundation

The Foundation Bylaws were amended at the Annual Meeting of all Foundation members held August 11th in conjunction with the District Convention in Kearney. The Updated Bylaws can be viewed here. And the Revised Policies are available for viewing here.

Every Kiwanian in good standing in the Nebraska-Iowa District is a member of the District Foundation. The Foundation was chartered August 8, 1975 to support the education and training of Kiwanians and Kiwanis sponsored youth in order to further the community programs and projects undertaken by district members.

The Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of one Life Member of the Foundation from each division in the district plus the elected officers. The officers of the Foundation are: the President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer, and the Immediate Past President.

The Nebraska-Iowa Kiwanis District Foundation obtains funds from:

	Life Members, who contribute $100 or pledge to contribute $100 within a five year period,
	Star Life Members who contribute an additional $100 up to $900,
	Bartlett Ladies and Fellows who make a total contribution to the Foundation of $1,000,
	Clubs contributing $5 per member for the Foundation Birthday Fund

Camp OK Funds come from:

	Club sponsorship of campers for $300 each,
	Camp OK Endowments from clubs or individuals for $3,000.

Foundation Funds serve young children by support the following projects:

	Camp OK, a camp for deserving underprivileged 5th and 6th graders,
	Circle K within the district,
	Key Clubs within the district,
	Builders Clubs within the district.
