The Ala Moana Hotel is in itself a gathering place for travelers the world over. Its location is the most convenient in all Honolulu.  It is just 20 minutes from the airport and a block from the Ala Moana Beach Park…rated by Frommer’s as “quite possibly America’s best urban beach.  Gold-sand Ala Moana is one of the island’s most popular playgrounds.”  A stroll across the sky bridge puts you at the Ala Moana Center, with over 200 exciting stores and restaurants.  Just across the street are the world-class facilities of the Hawaii Convention Center - the location for the 90^th Kiwanis International Convention.  Kiwanians attending the convention, must register with Kiwanis International, this package does not include registration fees.

District Dinner - Germaine’s Luau

Feel the beat of the drum…soft ocean waves caress the shoreline, just a few steps away.  Take in the rich cultural heritage of the Pacific Islands.  Drink in the spectacular show delivered to you at the ocean’s edge, under the stars and palm trees.

Be touched by the magic of ancient Hawaii and its splendor.  Help yourself to an all you can eat multi-course American Hawaiian Buffet…a combination of traditional Island dishes and continental fare (for the “less dventuresome”)! 

To quench your thirst, there is everything from fruit punch and soft drinks to Germaine’s special Mai Tai’s and Blue Hawaii’s!  A variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic tropical, blended and specialty beverages are available (3 bar beverages are provided with the luau).

Cost of the District Luau is included with the convention package.  If purchased separately the cost is $60 per person.  Price includes transportation from Honolulu hotels.
